Stunning lake views, access to Northern Lights notifications, free canoe and kayak rentals

The decor is a confused mix that feels more cluttered than charming!!! The absence of air conditioning leaves rooms stifling and uncomfortable during warmer weather!!! Basic communication regarding extra charges could use some clarity!!!

Spacious room, comfortable amenities, with two separate rooms and a jacuzzi that made our family feel at home during our visit.

Just a great match for a holiday in Kopavogur with good value considering price it charged. The room had good water pressure in the shower. Be careful, it can get hot without A/C.

Couples looking for a quiet stay

The view from my room was fine overlooking the lake it was serene. The breakfast deal at only 1800 ISK was unbelievable with fresh food and lots of choices, perfect way to start the day.

It wasn't exactly cheap but for the quality it was still reasonable.

The Superior Double Room was really spacious and had huge windows with a stunning view of the lake. The decor was unique and cozy, and it felt luxurious by Icelandic standards. The only downside was that the room got a bit warm, and the linens weren't as comfy as I hoped, but the shower was amazing and fully stocked. Overall, it made for a great stay with all the necessary comforts.

Staying at Kriunes in Kopavogur was quite the experience. The room I had was a Superior Double Room, spacious with stunning views of the lake. I really appreciated the cleanliness and how well-kept everything was. The bathroom was one of the largest I've seen in any hotel, which was a pleasant surprise. The hot tub was a fantastic perk during the chilly evening, and breakfast was delightful with fresh pastries and a good variety. One drawback was the limited dinner options at the on-site restaurant. they seemed to be out of many items on the menu. Also, the lack of air conditioning made the room quite warm overnight, and I couldn't open the windows because of insects. Overall, the hospitality from the staff was warm, and they made extra efforts to accommodate my late checkout. It's a beautiful spot but a few improvements in dining choices and room comfort could elevate the experience further.
